Big Box retailers aren’t paying their fair share of taxes.

Monroe County Tax Assessor Judy Sharp said local officials are getting tied up at state courts, when large corporations appeal the assessed tax value on their properties. Sharp said that can cost the county millions of dollars, if the county loses the appeal.
