Plan Commission Approves Crosstown Plaza Plans

The Crosstown Shopping Center on 10th Street, in Bloomington, will look vastly different in about two years.

On Monday, the Bloomington Plan Commission approved site plans by WS Property Group that would transform the site into a new, three-story, mixed-use development.

The shopping center is located near the intersection of 10th and Union Streets, north of Indiana University. It’s currently home to popular eateries Lennies and Pizza X, among others.

The developer has also filed a height variance request with the Bloomington Board of Zoning Appeals. Scanlan says while the roofs of the proposed buildings meet the city’s height requirement, some architectural details do not.

The Bloomington Board of Zoning Appeals will hear the developer’s height variance request at a later date.
