“We are unusual in that I am autistic, and Kimmie is neurotypical (she claims).

We’d not like to focus on the disability or autistic difference.. in the sense of here’s all the stuff that’s bad…

But rather on how it affects our relationship… and on “autistic joy.” Something you don’t see talked about much.

Every aspect of me, my body, my mind, my personality, my life, and most importantly our RELATIONSHIP is affected by autism.

Autism is a developmental disability… or at least difference. It was present in me from conception. It impacts all my organ systems!

Anyway, if you were interviewing someone from Thailand say, and wanted to know how marriages were different there….

It would be much the same.

We are married. But live separately. Our sex life is different, Our communication is different. Our food is different.”
