Jeff Tweedy brought a lively, beautifully played set to the Buskirk-Chumley on November 20th, touring in support of his fifth solo album Twilight Override, a new triple album. Best known as the founding member and frontman of Wilco — and before that, co-founder of Uncle Tupelo — Tweedy performed alongside a close-knit lineup featuring his sons Spencer and Sammy, plus Liam Kazar, Sima Cunningham, and Macie Stewart. The group carried a true family vibe onstage, full of easy warmth and connection.
Cunningham and Stewart, known for their work as Finom, brought their signature spark to the lineup — with Cunningham opening the evening with a gorgeous set and spotlighting her 2024 solo album High Roller. Together, the band brought a dynamic energy to Tweedy’s expansive catalog, including a special local touch: on this tour they’ve been covering artists from each state they are in, and their nod to Bloomington & Indiana included Jason Molina and The Jackson Five. It was a moment!
Huge thanks to Anna Powell Denton for capturing the night so beautifully. And we’re so grateful to Jeff Tweedy for bringing this tour to Bloomington.
