Focusing on their craft, staying out of the fray, and holding fast their faith to find new ways to express the discord and delight of being alive, to turn the duality of existence into hymns we can share, Low present HEY WHAT. These ten pieces—each built around their own instantaneous, undeniable hook—are turbocharged by the vivid textures that surround them.The ineffable, familiar harmonies of Alan Sparhawk and Mimi Parker break through the chaos like a life raft. Layers of distorted sound accrete with each new verse – building, breaking, colossal then restrained, a solemn vow only whispered. There will be time to unravel and attribute meaning to the music and art of these times, but the creative moment looks FORWARD, with teeth.

Co-Op Book Club: A Video Game Conversation Group––’Hades’ (Age 12 and up)

Do you enjoy video games and want to talk with other people about them? Join us as we discuss a new game and talk about game design, stories, art, and everything else. It’s just like a book club, but with video games! In March, we’ll play Hades and in April we’ll dive into Stardew Valley. Each month, the games will be available to play on the second floor of the Downtown Library near the video game collection.

Movers and Shakers – A partnership between the Banneker Community Center and the Monroe County Public Library (Ages 2 – 6)

Stay fit and active at this silly dance party! We’ll sing and dance with scarves and shakers and play with parachutes at this monthly event. Enjoy free play before and after the structured activities where littles and grownups can socialize. Banneker Community Center is located at 930 W. Seventh Street in Bloomington. Ages 2–6. Siblings are always welcome.
