IU-Taiwan Music Project: Resonant Island, featuring Hsiao-Feng Lin

Hsiao-Feng Lin, an internationally acclaimed world flute virtuoso, fuses traditional Chinese music with contemporary performance. Guided by visionary foresight and deep dedication, Lin reshapes how the bamboo flute resonates on the world stage.

The IU-Taiwan Collaborations in Music project, housed under the Taiwan Studies Initiative and East Asia Studies Center (EASC), fosters cultural and academic exchanges between Indiana University and Taiwan. This project, organized and produced by Hsuan Chang Kitano, unites student composers, musicians, and scholars to explore Taiwan’s rich cultural and musical traditions. Through workshops, lectures, and collaborative performances, participants create innovative works inspired by Taiwanese cultural insights.
