Fifth Saturday Contra Dance!

Join for some old-time fun!
The Resurrection Marys from Justice, IL (Erin Kearby – fiddle and vocals, Karen Eisenhauer – banjo and vocals, Allison Miller – guitar and vocals) will play some rockin’ dance tunes and caller Darlene Underwood from Cincinnati, OH, will teach and lead fun and exciting and accessible dances.

Contra is similar to square dancing. All dances are taught, and the caller reminds dancers of the moves throughout the dance. No experience or partner is needed. People typically dance with someone new each dance. Registration at 6:30, beginners’ lesson at 6:40, dance 7-10 p.m.
Proof of vaccine and (if eligible) one booster required. Masks required at all times on the dance floor. Dancers may take mask breaks outside or in the hallway. (Performers may remove masks while on stage).
