Extending Hope Opening Reception

Please join us for an opening reception for an exhibit of 18 works by contemporary artist Karen Johnston, a former artist and resident of Bloomington, currently residing in Nashville, TN,  Her award-winning work has been highlighted in solo, group, and juried shows and can be found in galleries and numerous private and corporate collections across the country and internationally. Extending Hope is an abstract dialogue celebrating resilience within the human experience. Colorful expressions invite the viewer to slow down, reflect, and lean into possibility. Johnston not only wants to uplift and inspire the community with meaningful art, but also give back. For every painting sold through this show, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard, a local food pantry/resource. Each donation will also be matched dollar for dollar by First United Church. Meet Karen in person at the opening reception and support a great cause!
