Climate Action in Bloomington: Together We Make a Difference

The City’s Assistant Director of Sustainability, Shawn Miya, and Sustainability Program Coordinator, Jolie Perry, will highlight the grants and rebates available to residents, small businesses, and nonprofits to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and increase resilience to climate change. From solar panels, batteries, heat pumps, and insulation, to tree plantings, neighborhood gardens, cool roofs, and more, the City provides resources for the community to make these projects happen. Miya and Perry will also share news about potential incoming sources of federal grant dollars for community-wide energy efficiency and solar installations.
