Artist Talk & Demo – James B. Campbell

The talk and demo itself will be about an hour (2-3pm), and Jim will take questions and be available for casual discussion for the following hour. The artist will talk about his 3-D paintings, plus his new sculptures created from resin (or concrete) in molds, and then presented on beautiful stone or wooden bases.

Here is Jim’s statement about his talk on September 13th:

Painter or sculptor?
“It is impossible for me to narrow my love of art to just those two roles. I love color and form, and take joy in a well-crafted design. Artfulness is not limited to painting and sculpture but is inherent to music, dance, literature, architecture and even the design of a toaster. There is a beauty to the precision of computer code or the curve of a road. No, I cannot deprive myself of any opportunity to take time to appreciate the artfulness that is all around us. I am a painter and a sculptor, I am neither and both.” ~ James B. Campbell
