In recent weeks the Bloomington Police Department has been sending extra officers to patrol the B-Line Trail and the downtown area, responding to what city officials said was an increase in complaints about panhandling, public intoxication, and vandalism. Last week the city of Bloomington announced new, extra patrols will be assigned to the downtown area, as well as along the B-Line Trail.
