Andrew Scott stuns in this one-man retelling of Chekhov’s classic black comedy Uncle Vanya.
About Vanya
Andrew Scott (Fleabag, All of Us Strangers) brings multiple characters to life in Simon Stephens’ (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time) radical new version of Chekhov’s Uncle Vanya. Hopes, dreams, and regrets are thrust into sharp focus in this one-man adaptation which explores the complexities of human emotions. Ivan (Uncle Vanya) has spent his life managing the estate and business affairs of his family with little regard for his efforts. Scott plays the titular character, retired professor Alexander and his daughter Sonia, Alexander’s second wife Helena, Vanya’s widowed mother Maureen, his romantic rival the country doctor Michael, and more. Filmed live during the play’s sold-out run in London’s West End. [100 min; drama; English with open captions]
Crafting with humans! Masks are required inside. Outdoor seating is available in good weather. All crafts are welcome, just nothing real loud or with fumes as it’s a small area. No purchase required to hang out with us. Just the love of crafting!

All Static & Noise is an award-winning documentary on the Uyghur crisis by American director David Novack. The film, which exposes both the enormity of state-sponsored oppression and the individual struggles under horrific conditions, is the result of a five-year collaboration with Uyghur diaspora communities and 21 partner organizations across seven countries. An original score, animation, and the use of illustrations from the Uyghur Transitional Justice Database’s virtual reality camp project offer a chilling and emotional complement to the first-hand testimony from camp survivors and family members enduring this tragedy, including Jewher Ilham and Abduweli Ayup, among others. Filmed partially at IU. [102 min; documentary; English, Uyghur, Kazakh, and Mandarin with English subtitles]
A Q&A with Gardner Bovingdon (IU Central Eurasian Studies), associate producer Jewher Ilham, and co-writer/co-producer Janice Englehart will follow the screening.
