The queen of freaky flavors and experimentation, Lou Barnhart, is spending this Sunday afternoon In the Kitchen to teach you a 101 course on fermentation processes. She’ll cover information like different fermentation methods, essential supplies, and fermentation chambers/maintaining the proper environment. She’ll sample several different kinds of fermented foods, and then help you begin your own sauerkraut!

Demonstration and active participant class with Lou Barnhart. You’ll sample some fermented items and go home with sauerkraut and lots of knowledge!

New in 2026 is Charm School – each month will feature a different type of charm, and if you attend at least four sessions, you will be able to make a charm holder pendant (this will be a separate session you can attend for free!). If you attend eight sessions, you can create a charm bracelet (also a separate session.) Participants in each charm school session will create a specific type of charm.

This session has no prerequisites and no experience is necessary. All materials, necessary tools and instruction is included in the class fee. Class size is limited. Please bring reading glasses or your preferred magnification device.

In this 2.5-3 hour stained glass class, you’ll focus on the exciting and hands-on process of copper foiling and soldering to bring your beautiful glass design to life! All the glass pieces are precut and ready to go, so you can jump right into the creative process without needing to worry about cutting.
Guided by our experienced instructor, you’ll learn how to apply copper foil to the edges of each glass piece, then solder them together to create a seamless, polished design. This class is perfect for beginners or those who have some experience with stained glass and want to hone their skills in foiling and soldering.
Choose from a selection of vibrant glass combinations to create your own unique piece. By the end of the class, you’ll have a stunning stained glass project ready to hang or display, with all the techniques you need to continue creating on your own. All tools and materials are provided—just bring your creativity and excitement!
