Synopsis: In the dense forests of the Eastern Himalayas, moths are whispering something to us. In the dark of night, two curious observers shine a light on this secret universe. Together, they are on an expedition to decode these nocturnal creatures in a remote ecological “hot spot” on the border of India and Bhutan. The result is a deeply immersive film that transports audiences to a rarely-seen place and urges us all to look more closely at the hidden interconnections of the natural world.

Deeply moving and laugh-out-loud funny, Mission: JOY— Finding Happiness in Troubled Times is a documentary with unprecedented access to the unlikely friendship of two international icons who transcend religion: His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu. In their final joint mission, these self-described mischievous brothers gave a master class in how to live with joy in the face of challenge. They offered neuroscience-backed wisdom to help each of us LIVE WITH MORE JOY, DESPITE CIRCUMSTANCES. Consisting largely of never-before-seen footage shot at the Dalai Lama’s residence in Dharamsala, India, the film invites us to join these luminaries behind the scenes as they recount stories from their lives, each having lived through periods of incredible difficulty and strife. With genuine affection, mutual respect, and a healthy dose of teasing, these unlikely friends impart lessons gleaned from lived experience, ancient traditions, and cutting-edge science regarding how to live with joy in the face of life’s challenges, from the extraordinary to the mundane. Mission: JOY is an antidote for our times.

Joe (Matt Hannon, Sylvester Stallone’s one-time bodyguard) is the Samurai Cop, a rock of a man who will do literally whatever it takes to punish criminals—even if that means taking dozens of innocent lives in the process. Teamed with a truly hilarious partner (Mark Frazer), Joe embarks on a mindmelting sex-and-violence-fueled adventure against evil ninjas, drug dealers, and genre legend Robert Z’Dar (MANIAC COP)! Directed by prolific Iranian ex-pat Amir Shervan, the reckless and outrageous SAMURAI COP is a true treasure of the trash-action pantheon.

Full Frontal Comedy is Indiana University’s longest running comedy troupe. For close to four decades, the members of Big Head Todd and The Monsters—Todd Park Mohr [vocals, guitar, keys, sax, harmonica], Brian Nevin [drums], Rob Squires [bass, vocals], and Jeremy Lawton [keyboards, lap pedal/steel guitar, vocals]—have continued to both throw down in the studio and light up stages worldwide. Rallying around a core vision, the platinum-selling Colorado quartet kick out the kind of blues-drenched rock ‘n’ roll bangers that make you want to rev the engine a little louder, sing along like no one’s looking, and live a little freer. This holds true on their 12th full-length offering, Her Way Out.
Tom Cridland, playing the part of Elton John on lead vocals and piano, is close friends with Elton John drummer, Nigel Olsson, and has recorded songs and episodes of his Greatest Music of All Time Podcast with Elton John guitarist, Davey Johnstone.
