Afterward, there will be homemade cookies and cocoa as well as loads of Christmas cheer for the whole family! Attendees may bring a donation item(s) for The Hannah Center such as formula, diapers, and new baby clothes. Learn more at hannahcenter.org.

A young boy named Ralphie Parker only wants one thing for Christmas: a Red Ryder BB gun. However, he is not sure he will ever make it to Christmas, between his brother Randy and the school bully Scut Farkus. Whenever he tells someone how much he wants it, he/she tells him that he will shoot his eye out and refuses to get it for him. Even a department store Santa Claus tells him the same thing. After Ralphie gets a C+, he gets teased again by Scut. In response, Ralphie beats him very badly while cursing loudly. However, his parents do not get mad at him, and on Christmas morning, he gets the BB gun, since his father had one at that age. When he goes to try it out, the BB ricochets and knocks off his glasses, which he accidentally steps upon while looking for them. He makes up a story about an icicle, and his parents believe him. In the end, a horde of dogs come in and steal the Christmas turkey, so his family goes out for “Chinese turkey,” or duck.

It’s the eve of Christmas in northern Finland, and an ‘archeological’ dig has just unearthed the real Santa Claus. But this particular Santa isn’t the one you want coming to town. When the local children begin mysteriously disappearing, young Pietari and his father Rauno, a reindeer hunter by trade, capture the mythological being and attempt to sell Santa to the misguided leader of the multinational corporation sponsoring the dig. Santa’s elves, however, will stop at nothing to free their fearless leader from captivity. What ensues is a wildly humorous nightmare – a fantastically bizarre polemic on modern day morality.
Join us in the shadows for some stories, crafting, and tasty treats! Learn how to create moving shadow puppets, and make your own shadow theater from a pizza box!
Brian Lever, Sean Steele, Brady Stogdill and Kent Todd will be joined by special guests Dean Metcalf and Grammy-winning artist, Michael Cleveland.
