The event will feature a full-length screening of the beloved movie accompanied by live performances of a unique on-stage musical ensemble of top Hollywood studio musicians, including Polynesian rhythm masters and vocalists, celebrating the music and songs from this award-winning Walt Disney Animation Studios’ classic.
The ensemble is built around rhythm. Of the seven members, five are percussionists (one, Kai Kalama, on a dedicated drum kit), joined by woodwind player Lester Paredes and guitarists Vaea A’etonu and Ryan Keau Kalama. The arrangement highlights Moana’s roots in Pacific Island music, giving the performance an earthy, pulsating energy. The band is even given a showcase of its own with an extended performance of “Logo Te Pate,” complete with solos that spotlight each member’s talent.
With no conductor, vocalist Nina Sosefina anchors the evening, introducing the program and explaining its structure. She handles many of the traditional chants, such as “Tulou Tagaloa,” and closes the night with a rousing encore of the end-credit pop version of “How Far I’ll Go.”
A zany twist on Bram Stoker’s classic. With bumbling heroes, a quirky Van Helsing, and a hilariously foiled Count Dracula, this Monty Python-meets-Lucille Ball romp blends spooky thrills with laugh-out-loud fun and the sultry charm of Elvis Presley—perfect for Halloween!

Before Stranger Things combined sci-fi, Spielbergian themes, and ’80s nostalgia Richard Kelly set the the high-water mark with his debut feature, Donnie Darko and unleashed the first cult classic of the new millennium. Donnie is a troubled high school student: in therapy, prone to sleepwalking, and beset by an imaginary friend (a six-foot rabbit named Frank) who tells him the world is going to end. Donnie has just 28 days, 6 hours, 42 minutes and 12 seconds to navigate teenage life, narrowly avoid death, follow Frank’s maladjusted instructions, and try to maintain the space-time continuum. Donnie Darko combines an eye-catching, eclectic cast—pre-stardom Jake and Maggie Gyllenhaal, heartthrob Patrick Swayze, former child star Drew Barrymore, Oscar nominees Mary McDonnell and Katharine Ross, and television favorite Noah Wyle—and an evocative soundtrack of ’80s classics by Echo and the Bunnymen, Tears for Fears, and Duran Duran. Synopsis: How to describe Nobuhiko Obayashi’s indescribable 1977 movie House (Hausu)? As a psychedelic ghost tale? A stream-of-consciousness bedtime story? An episode of Scooby-Doo as directed by Mario Bava? Any of the above will do for this hallucinatory head trip about a schoolgirl who travels with six classmates to her ailing aunt’s creaky country home and comes face-to-face with evil spirits, a demonic house cat, a bloodthirsty piano, and other ghoulish visions, all realized by Obayashi via mattes, animation, and collage effects. Equally absurd and nightmarish, House might have been beamed to Earth from some other planet. Never before available on home video in the United States, it’s one of the most exciting cult discoveries in years.
