Hope for the Holidays – Bloomington’s annual holiday tree festival presented by IU Credit Union to benefit New Hope for Families @ Switchyard Park Pavillion, 1601 South Rogers St., Bloomington

Hope for the Holidays, presented by IU Credit Union, is our sixth annual holiday tree festival and charity auction to benefit New Hope for Families, serving families overcoming homelessness right here in our community. Come see more than 50 unique and festive holiday trees decorated by local businesses, organizations, groups and families. The festival is free to attend and open to the public.

Throughout the festival, each of the fantastic trees on display can be purchased for a special “Buy It Now” price and any remaining entries will be auctioned off during an exciting live auction on the final night of the event. In addition to the lights and tinsel, guests can also enjoy free cookies and hot cocoa along with live entertainment every night!

When not headlining clubs across the country, Dave can be heard voicing several characters on Adult Swim’s “Squidbillies”, co-hosting his paranormal podcast “The Boogie Monster” with Kyle Kinane, and co-hosting “The Stonebergs Podcast” with his wife, Katie Strandberg.

Sounds of Summer is a tribute show based in Southern Indiana that includes over 30 familiar hits and tells the story of America’s band – the Beach Boys. These four incredibly talented guys have known each other since grade school and shared a love of 1960’s music and Beach Boys’ harmonies. The band has been playing across the nation since 2015, delivering audiences an authentic look and sound, taking them back to memories of the 1960s. Sounds of Summer has received praise for staying true to the Beach Boys sound and had the privilege of playing a live hour-long special on AXS TV’s “World’s Greatest Tribute Bands” on September 2016. This show isn’t just fun…it’s fun, fun, fun!

Sounds of Summer is a Beach Boys tribute based out of Indiana. The show includes over 30 familiar hits and tells the story of America’s band – the Beach Boys. These two sets of first cousins have captured the familial sound of The Beach Boys. They have toured the country playing a variety of theaters, festivals, and concerts and performed an hour long special on AXS TV’s “World’s Greatest Tribute Bands”, broadcasted live from Hollywood, CA.

Melissa Villasenor broke barriers by becoming the first-ever Latina cast member of Saturday Night Live. A comedic impressions expert, she got her start as a semifinalist on America’s Got Talent. Some of Melissa’s most memorable SNL impressions include Owen Wilson, Lady Gaga, and Dolly Parton.

An accomplished voice actor, she has voiced characters on several television shows including Nickelodeon’s OK K.O.! and Rock, Paper, Scissors, and in films Toy Story 4 and Wreck It Ralph 2: Ralph Breaks the Internet, for which she received a Golden Globe nomination. Melissa was a guest on Jerry Seinfeld’s Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, and can be seen in Barry, Crashing, and Awkwafina is Nora From Queens, to name a few.

Her multihyphenate talents range even further. Melissa hosted the 2021 Independent Spirit Awards, published a self-help journal ‘Whoops, I’m Awesome,’ recorded two music albums, had a Netflix special, and creates fine art.
