Discovery Time activities are designed by early childhood specialists specifically to nurture and challenge the rapid development of preschool-aged children. Activities vary monthly.
Recommended Ages: Children ages 2 – 6 and their caregivers
Dive into the world of radio this winter break at the Harmony School Youth Radio Camp. Over the three days of camp, youth will learn how to share their perspective with the community through music, news, and podcasts. This camp is a partnership between Harmony School and WFHB. The WFHB Youth Radio program is broadcast on 91.3 FM every Saturday Night from 4-8pm. Space is limited. To register, harmonySchool.org/camp rhino

Join us for an afternoon of karaoke and fun! We’ll have a list of common kid songs that we can belt out, along with light snacks and a craft, too.
We’ll be open starting at 5:00pm, with free food from s/t Vegetarian Kitchen. We’ll have special cider cocktails available and a free toast at midnight. Spend the whole night with us or just drop in for a drink. We’re looking forward to ringing in the new year with you!

Conor Delehanty is a comedian. a former construction worker, and an organ donor from Indianapolis. Over the past decade, Delehanty has fine tuned his craft performing wherever he could across these United States earning accolades along the way. He has performed in festivals such as the Limestone Comedy Festival, Laugh Your Asheville Off, and San Francisco Sketchfest. Delehanty has been featured on Comedy Central Radio and was a cast member on the Facebook Watch show After After Party. He probably eats too much bread and is always happy to be there, wherever that may be.

Soft, buttery, spongey and versatile, madeleines are a great dessert all year round. Calling all bakers! Today Shane O’Bannon will walk you through how he does madeleines from start to finish, and also show you how to create a version that’s dipped in chocolate.

Calling all homeschool teens! Drop by the Downtown Teen Space for a chance to hangout with other homeschoolers, do some crafts, play some games, or get some homework done.
Teens and Tweens (grades 6-12) — come learn and play D&D at the library! We’ll provide a DM who will give you 30 minutes of instruction then 90 minutes of game time, plus light refreshments. You’re welcome to come play independently, too, if you already have a campaign started! No registration is necessary.

Join the ongoing Joshua Clover Memorial Materialism Reading Group for its next iteration on “The Eclipse and Re-Emergence of the Communist Movement” by Gilles Dauvé. The short book provides a sustained reflection of the events of May 1968 in France with an analysis of the reinvigoration of the proletarian movement on a new basis.
The reading group will meet on January 8 at 7pm EST at Redbud Books and online.

Beginners, pros, or people who just want to watch yarn do its thing . All welcome. Bring your project, start a new one, or just sit at the table and soak in the cozy vibes. Tips, tricks, and yarn jokes included.
Every week we’re offering a new craft night, so boredom is not invited. This is your ticket to slow down, make something with your hands, and maybe accidentally meet your new craft buddy. Quiet concentration optional. Giggles and “oops I dropped a stitch” moments encouraged. You might leave with a scarf, a tiny triumph, or just the satisfaction of having made something with your own two hands and shared it with a table full of humans who get it.
Winter is long. Knit Night is shorter than the nights feel. Come warm your hands, your brain, and your soul.
