CHEAP THRILLS follows Craig, a struggling family man who loses his low-wage job and is threatened with eviction. In an effort to delay facing the music at home, he heads to a local bar and encounters an old friend (Ethan Embry, EMPIRE RECORDS). The two friends are roped into a round of drinks by a charismatic and obscenely wealthy stranger along with his mysterious wife. The couple engages the two friends in a series of innocent dares in exchange for money over the course of the evening, with each challenge upping the ante in both reward and boundaries. It seems like easy and much needed money, but the couple’s twisted sense of humor pushes just how far Craig and his friend are willing to go for money and cheap thrills.
Each comedian is asked to do no more than five minutes of completely original material. While we do not care about foul language in your set, we do not allow racist, homophobic, transphobic or rape/female bashing jokes. If you have to ask if it’s racist, homophobic, transphobic or a rape joke, it probably is.
Comedians that wish to participate are asked to e-mail [email protected]. Newcomers and any participants who are not paid professionals will be required to bring audience members to see them. This is non-negotiable. So if you plan on signing up, be sure to invite as many friends as you can. Good luck!

You love it or you hate it— and we argue that mindset is so limiting. Life is more exciting when you try new things, and food is a lovely avenue for this practice. Forget grandma’s tuna salad, we’re trying Spanish, Scandinavian and Washington based seafare, from muscles and oysters to trout, sardines and mackerel. What they’ve got in common is that they come in cutesy little tins, packed in the highest quality olive oils with herbs, peppers, and spices. On toast or crackers, in salad, or tossed into pasta, tinned fish is versatile, trending and sustainable. We encourage you to come try some with us during this open-house tasting event.
Tasting event hosted by Ava with recipe handouts and interspersed lectures. Come dine with us anytime from 6:00-8:30.

The Wylie House Museum may have one of the oldest ginkgo trees in Indiana. Nicknamed “the living fossil,” the ginkgo tree species dates to 245 to 66 million years ago, which means trees like the one at the Wylie House would have coexisted with the dinosaurs here on Earth. Come preserve your own piece of arbor history by exploring the unique features of the trees around the Wylie House and getting creative with waxing leaves.

In early-1970s Framingham, Massachusetts, taciturn family man James (Josh O’Connor) makes the rash, largely inscrutable decision to orchestrate a heist at the local art museum, absconding with a selection of modern paintings—without much of a plan. This autumnal, restrained, and often quite funny anti-thriller from Kelly Reichardt (Showing Up, NYFF60) sets this low-key criminal enterprise against a Nixon-era backdrop of alienation and political disillusionment. As always, Reichardt’s impeccable craft is front and center: the film’s naturalism and remarkable period detail creating a portrait of unerring authenticity and psychological mystery. Whether driven by social apathy or artistic passion, James—effortlessly played by O’Connor with hangdog elegance—registers as a compelling update of the ’70s American male loner archetype for another dispiriting, directionless time.
