Animal Hour is an opportunity to talk with our animal exhibits staff directly to learn about WonderLab’s animal ambassadors and what it takes to care for animals from around the world. During this program you can have the opportunity to meet snakes, lizards, insects, arachnids and more up close and out of their habitats.

Athletics: Hoosier Champions. This showcase highlights individual and team champions throughout IU’s rich athletics heritage. Featuring uniforms, gear, and trophies, Outfitting IU Athletics traces IU’s athletic accomplishments from the founding of the first sport at IU (baseball), through 2025 individual national champions in women’s and men’s swimming and diving. Objects in the exhibit include the 1938 men’s cross country national championship trophy, Lilly King’s signed Olympic swimming cap, Kyle Schwarber’s 2013 College World Series bat, basketball objects,
and tennis shoes worn by Heather Crowe during her run to an individual and team national championship in women’s tennis in 1982.

The band has been and continues to be a regular headliner for most major festivals throughout central Indiana. TLC has also won BEST wedding band by Indy fans and has played for over 100 various corporate events over the years. Audrey Rose is a 17-year-old local singer/songwriter with a pop influence, but an emphasis on lyrics that are poetic and real.

Featuring a surprise appearance from Santa Claus!
November Market begins today from 9a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Switchyard Park Pavilion (1601 S. Rogers St.). For a third year, the Bloomington Community Farmers’ Market and the Bloomington Winter Farmers’ Market will co-host the November Market. The dates will be November 1st, 8th, 15th, and 22nd.
Storytime, goat-inspired yoga, and animal experience with Bruce, Bene, and Natalie – the Anatolian Shepherds. Learn about how livestock guardian dogs protect the farm.
Visitors will find a wide range of vendors selling crafts, goods, and more. There will also be a lunch buffet at 11 AM. You can find more information on the event on the Tri-Kappa Facebook page.
The Wylie House Museum may have one of the oldest ginkgo trees in Indiana. Nicknamed “the living fossil,” the ginkgo tree species dates to 245 to 66 million years ago, which means trees like the one at the Wylie House would have coexisted with the dinosaurs here on Earth. Come preserve your own piece of arbor history by exploring the unique features of the trees around the Wylie House and getting creative with waxing leaves.

Freedoms under Assault is a powerful full-length documentary that chronicles the systematic destruction of a world-class university and the politically motivated culture war against its faculty over a two-year period. A perfect storm of an autocratic university president collaborating with a supermajority reactionary state legislature following the ideological agenda of the White House has effectively curtailed the institutional autonomy of Indiana University as well as shared governance structures, academic freedom, free speech and assembly rights, tenure, and the viability of arts and humanities programs.
The documentary shows the lengths to which a university administration is willing to silence, intimidate, persecute, and even exile faculty members in accord with arbitrary policies and “financial exigencies.” The film is co-directed/produced by Robert Arnove, IU Chancellor’s Professor Emeritus of Education, and award-winning documentarian, Jacky Comforty.

Giant Day is the new project of Elephant 6 Collective veterans Derek Almstead and Emily Growden. Both longtime partners and established musicians, they’ve worked, recorded and performed in Athens, Georgia for many years with multiple groups, including The Olivia Tremor Control, Circulatory System, Elf Power, The Glands, of Montreal, Faster Circuits and Marshmallow Coast to name a few. This latest musical iteration combines psych, art rock, post-punk and dream pop influences into a distinctive new sound.

Steve Krahnke, former Senior Lecturer at the Indiana University Media School, a 30 year veteran of PBS stations and program production, and executive producer of the award-winning Cuba: The Forgotten Revolution, provides some clarity.
