Paris, Summer 1979. Anne (French pop star Vanessa Paradis) produces third-rate gay porn. After her editor and lover Lois leaves her, she tries to win her back by shooting her most ambitious film yet with her trusted, flaming sidekick Archibald. But one of her actors is brutally murdered and Anne gets caught up in a strange investigation that turns her life upside-down. Shot on 35mm and featuring a killer retro score from M83, Yann Gonzalez’s KNIFE+HEART is an ultra-stylish and blood-soaked ode to ’70s-era De Palma, Argento, and Friedkin.

For my birthday this year, my family suggested an intimate family party. Wonderful idea! But the more I thought about it, the more I realized what I’d really also love is to gather some of the people whose paths have crossed with mine — those shared moments that helped shape our journeys, filled our lives with memories, and left impressions that last to this day.
So if that describes and includes you (and I hope it does), I’d rather not wait for a “celebration of life” I probably wouldn’t get to enjoy. Let’s celebrate now — together — with food, drink, music, memories, stories, laughter, and good company (and yes, you’re welcome to bring a guest). To me, that sounds far better than a posthumous celebration of life, mainly because I get to be there and participate
Please RSVP: https://www.punchbowl.com/parties/0ab85d49f3f564c433df
These events are open to the public, with no registration or experience required (though we appreciate advance notice for groups of 5+ people). We simply ask that you dress appropriately to do outdoor work, and bring plenty of water to stay hydrated. Snacks and drinks will be provided as well as any other tools you may need to help out!
We hope you can join us to get outside and enjoy nature, make new friends, and learn some sustainable, organic orcharding practices. All are welcome!

Freedoms under Assault is a powerful full-length documentary that chronicles the systematic destruction of a world-class university and the politically motivated culture war against its faculty over a two-year period. A perfect storm of an autocratic university president collaborating with a supermajority reactionary state legislature following the ideological agenda of the White House has effectively curtailed the institutional autonomy of Indiana University as well as shared governance structures, academic freedom, free speech and assembly rights, tenure, and the viability of arts and humanities programs. The documentary shows the lengths to which a university administration is willing to silence, intimidate, persecute and even exile faculty members in accord with arbitrary policies and “financial exigencies.” The film is co-directed/produced by Robert Arnove, IU Chancellor’s Professor Emeritus of Education, and award-winning documentarian, Jacky Comforty.
