Buffalo Child will be returning again this year to MC and do his Hoop Dance! He has been in over 100 movies, films & TV shows including: Dances with Wolves, Crazy Horse, and Call of the Wild. Buffalo Child is 14/16 Plains Cree and part Nakota. He will share the history of smudging and powwows and perform a hoop dance from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm both days.
We will be doing several honor dances, candy dance for the kids, and a GLOW DANCE Saturday at dusk.
Consider bringing your own chairs – Seating may be limited!
Market goers can expect to find a wide assortment of goods from the farm and field, including fruits and vegetables, eggs, meats and cheeses, honey, seasonal flowers, and annual and perennial plants. Food and beverage artisans provide a tasteful variety of satisfying breads, drinks, pastries, and savory dishes. This weekly gathering provides individuals the opportunity to connect with their community in meaningful ways while supporting small farmers and businesses.
Youth Day at the Market this Weekend!!
Young farmers, artists, growers and entrepreneurs 6-17 years old will get their own booth spaces on the Fernandez Plaza and some nestled along the periphery of BCFM vendors during this special day for youth at the Market. Youth keep all their profits as they experience a day of running their own stands. Their Market runs from 9 AM to 12:30 PM.
This week, Roger Kerr, Chief of the Bloomington Fire Department, will greet the public at the Bloomington Community Farmers’ Market from 10 AM to 12 PM.
The Bedford Farmers Market consists of local farmers, artisans and bakers; all items for sale at the market are handmade/homegrown in Lawrence County and within 75 miles from courthouse. Products available at the Bedford Farmers Market include fresh produce, plants, farm fresh eggs, local beef, chicken and pork, baked goods, jams, jellies, sweet bread, pies, cinnamon rolls, jewelry, tie-dye, pottery, leather goods, baby items, candles, walking sticks, baskets, crochet dolls/animals and a variety of other art/craft items.

Mike Finoia is a Comedian based out of NYC. He is a producer for TruTV’s hit show Impractical Jokers, and tours regularly with the guys on their national tour. Mike is also the host of the podcasts Dented Cans and Comes a Time, which he co-hosts with Dead & Company bassist Oteil Burbridge. Mike’s debut special, “Don’t Let Me Down” was met with glowing reviews in 2023, and when Mike isn’t on the road he can be found nightly at NYC premiere comedy clubs, and heard regularly on Sirius XM’s The Bonfire.
You will get to see performances similar to Dancing With The Stars, featuring exciting dance routines and fabulous music. We will be joined by several variety acts, including silks, ballet and flamenco!

Indiana law requires that the rabies vaccination tag be worn at all times.
All dogs will be checked on site by City of Bloomington Animal Control. Dogs without written proof of current rabies vaccination will not be allowed in the event. A rabies tag alone is not sufficient!
Maximum one dog per person. There is a charge to attend.
These events are open to the public, with no registration or experience required (though we appreciate advance notice for groups of 5+ people). We simply ask that you dress appropriately to do outdoor work, and bring plenty of water to stay hydrated. Snacks and drinks will be provided as well as any other tools you may need to help out!
We hope you can join us to get outside and enjoy nature, make new friends, and learn some sustainable, organic orcharding practices. All are welcome!

Join us on Thursday evenings beginning 6/26 and ending 10/30 to play disc golf.
We’ll start out with a short introduction session and play the 9-hole disc golf course at Arlington Heights Elementary School. If you have never played, no worries, you can practice throwing discs before playing the course.
Bottled water and discs will be provided but it’s good to bring your own as well.
