A Silent Disco is an event where people dance to music heard through wireless headphones. The music is transmitted directly to each person’s headphones – on three separate channels – rather than played through speakers. Those without headphones hear no music (other than people who sing along to what they are hearing). The three channels of music can be selected using a simple switch on each person’s headphones, and headphones light up blue, red or green to show visually what channel you are listening to. People can dance to the same tune as others with them, or to their own selection. If you hear a song you don’t like, or get tired of a particular style of music, just switch channels.

Hello Sapien- is a 4-piece indie outfit with a strong folk bent, based in Cincinnati, OH. Led by singer/songwriter Adam Stone (who is supported by a cast of well-seasoned musicians — including members of Heartless Bastards, WHY?, and Leggy), the songs center around contemplative, witty, often wry lyrics delivered with a twang-tinged baritone. Musically, you can expect hooky rhythms, plenty of piano, and consistently interesting twists on traditional songwriting.
Pat Kellar-is a south central Indiana-based multi-instrumentalist and songwriter blending blues, folk, and all sorts of rock into what he likes to call grassrock. With hundreds of songs to his credit, Kellar’s sound bridges many genres —rooted in tradition, driven by storytelling, and powered by a restless creative spirit.

Pangaea Sky offers insight into the evolution of musical ideas with “Close Encounters,” a series of four intimate Tuesday evening performances hosted at the Arts Alliance of Greater Bloomington Flex Space (located in College Mall). These unique sessions provide a window into our developmental process, transforming rehearsal into performance. Experience the eclectic sound world of Pangaea Sky, featuring:
Tom Clark, Woodwinds and Keyboards
Ron Kadish, Double Bass and electronics
Peter Kienle, Guitars and Synths
Julian Douglas, World Percussion
These performances are not focused solely on polished repertoire, but rather on the process of musical creation. We will be developing our distinctive blend of contemporary and traditional world music, innovative arrangements of popular music, and original compositions.
These events offer an intimate perspective on the band’s interplay, experimentation, and the organic evolution of our music, demonstrating where structure intersects with spontaneous discovery.
