An exclusive FREE IU Bloomington student only event, Union Board is excited to present a conversation featuring the 2024 consensus national coach of the year, Curt Cignetti. This event is free to IU Bloomington students only, but a ticket (as well as student ID) is required for entry.
Cignetti was named the 30th head football coach in Indiana football history on December 3, 2023, and in his first year on campus engineered one of the best first-year turnarounds in FBS history.
A program-record for wins in a season (11) and Big Ten victories (8) highlighted Cignetti’s first season in Bloomington. The 2024 season marked the first double-digit win season in program history and pushed IU into the College Football Playoff for the first time as the No. 10 seed. This is a student-only event and is free for all IU students!

Synopsis: Blissfully hilarious and romantic, I MARRIED A WITCH features great chemistry between Veronica Lake (SULLIVAN’S TRAVELS) and Fredric March (THE BEST YEARS OF OUR LIVES). This fun romp from French master Rene Clair gives its seasoned leads a chance to break away from stereotypically serious roles (intense leading man and film noir vamp, respectively) and prove their comedic prowess.
Lake stars as an ancient Salem witch once burned at the stake, who returns to haunt descendants of the Puritans who let her smolder — namely aspiring politician March. Lake concocts a love potion, but things get complicated when said potion works on Lake instead and she falls for March!

The acclaimed and ever popular Japanese taiko drum group, Kodo, is bringing its engaging rhythm to IU Auditorium this season! The group will perform its newest work, Warabe, as part of its 2025 North American Tour showcasing the ensemble’s continued exploration of new and old traditions from Sado Island.
The taiko is a traditional Japanese drum with limitless rhythmic possibilities and Kodo’s mission is to explore those possibilities, and in the process forge new directions for a vibrant living artform. In Japanese, the word “Kodo” holds a double meaning. It can be translated as “heartbeat,” the primal source of all rhythm, but it can also mean “drum” and “child.” This reflects Kodo’s desire to play the drums with the simple heart of a child. In Warabe, Kodo looks to its classic repertoire and aesthetics from the ensemble’s early days. This production blends simple forms of Taiko expression that celebrate the unique sound, resonance, and physicality synonymous with Kodo—forever children of the drum at heart.

About Kneecap
Former schoolteacher JJ and local hoods/casual drug dealers Naoise and Liam Og are Kneecap, an unlikely trio rapping in their native Irish and unlikely figureheads of a civil rights movement to save their mother tongue. But first they must overcome police, paramilitaries, and politicians trying to silence their defiant sound while their anarchic approach to life makes them their own worst enemies. In this fiercely original sex, drugs and hip-hop quasi-biopic, Kneecap play themselves, laying down a global rallying cry for the defense of native cultures. First Irish-language film to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival (and at IU Cinema!). [135 min; comedy, drama; English and Irish with English subtitles]
