King Bee & The Stingers is a six-piece blues, soul and funk band from Bloomington, Indiana. Formed in 2006 under the leadership of harmonica player and vocalist Mark “King Bee” Menefee, the band attracted a strong following across Indiana and the Midwest, playing classic, gritty roadhouse blues. In 2015, Mark’s daughter Sarah Menefee took over as lead vocalist and has been a rising star ever since. King Bee & The Stingers are 2018, 2019, and 2023 semifinalists in The Blues Foundation’s International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN.
Mike Milligan and Steam Shovel is an Original, Powerful, Soulful group from Kokomo, Indiana, United States, formed in 1993, comprised of brothers, Mike Milligan (guitar/vocals) and Shaun Milligan (bass), and Robert “Tiny” Cook (drums/vocals).

Gordon Bonham grew up in Hammond, IN and brings together a mix of styles from the Mississippi Delta to the back alleys of Chicago, from big Texas shuffles to jumpin’ West Coast swing. After several years of tearing up the road, Bonham brings it all together in Indiana, the Crossroads of America. Bonham has performed several times with the legendary Pinetop Perkins, most notably in Cleveland along with Robert Lockwood, Jr. as part of the grand opening of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He played off and on for ten years with the late Indianapolis blues mandolin man, “Yank” Rachell, as well as Chicago piano man Jimmy Walker.

On Third Sundays monthly, Juniper hosts an after-hours All Gender Writing Circle facilitated by Women Writing for (a) Change. We draw inspiration from poetry and painters, and spend time writing and sharing our writing with one another. People of all genders and writers of all genres and experience are welcome in this pop-up community of writers.

For the first time since 2012, IU Cinema is happy to present a big-screen experience for the Oscar-nominated short films. Traditionally, these shorts program have been offered to our community by the Ryder Film Series. We are honored to be a part of Peter LoPilato’s Bloomington legacy of connecting our community with global cinematic treasure through our International Arthouse Series and dedicate our first Oscar Shorts screenings in over a decade to his memory.

An exclusive FREE IU Bloomington student only event, Union Board is excited to present a conversation featuring the 2024 consensus national coach of the year, Curt Cignetti. This event is free to IU Bloomington students only, but a ticket (as well as student ID) is required for entry.
Cignetti was named the 30th head football coach in Indiana football history on December 3, 2023, and in his first year on campus engineered one of the best first-year turnarounds in FBS history.
A program-record for wins in a season (11) and Big Ten victories (8) highlighted Cignetti’s first season in Bloomington. The 2024 season marked the first double-digit win season in program history and pushed IU into the College Football Playoff for the first time as the No. 10 seed. This is a student-only event and is free for all IU students!
Enjoy a set three-course dinner, and FARMbloomington will donate to the Friends of the Library to help support Library programming. Price does not include a beverage, and sales tax and a 20% service charge will be added to all checks.
