For more than 17 years, the Bloomington Christmas Sing-Along has been a tradition in our community. A unique, free, family-friendly event where you will hear Christmas arrangements like never before. Local musicians join forces with a children’s choir, Jacob’s School of Music students and local churches. Don’t miss this one-of-a-kind experience featuring an eclectic variety of musical styles. Krista Detor brings back her live holiday show for two nights at the Constellation Playhouse. Joined by bandmates Dena El Saffar, David Weber, Steve Mascari, Pat Otto, and Rod Taylor – with guests including Sam Bartlett & Eric Schedler, this holiday show promises some brand new music, and, as always, SURPRISE guests! A holiday mini-market of local artists and artisans, as well as Beer & Wine and holiday snack offerings make this a perfect way to celebrate the season in community and some of Bloomington’s most talented performers! Grab a ticket and a cup of holiday cheer and buckle up for a wild holiday romp!

Reconstructed/Reframed highlights legends, masters, and stars whose artistry has impacted our society, as well as presents past faculty works from new perspectives. We share, perform, and preserve these choreographies to inform new generations of dance artists, and enrich audience experiences everywhere.

Please join us for a night of artistry, desire, and sensuality. YEARNING celebrates the queer pastime of longing for the unobtainable and the search for human connection. Whether you love burlesque for social commentary or need an escape from your troubles, we have something to tease and satisfy any craving.

About the host:
Hailing from the faraway mystical land of rural Alabama, Faggedy Ann has been performing in drag and burlesque since 2013. Their referential style encompasses campy glamor while often pulling from film, fine arts, and queer history. Faggedy is a visual artist currently based in Indianapolis, IN.

About The Nightmare Before Christmas

Bored with the same old scare-and-scream routine, Pumpkin King Jack Skellington longs to spread the joy of Christmas. But his merry mission puts Santa in jeopardy and creates a nightmare for good little boys and girls everywhere. Featuring the voice talents of Danny Elfman, Chris Sarandon, Catherine O’Hara, and Paul Reubens.

Doors open at 8:30 for registration and set up. Sitting begins at 9:00.
Hoosier Heartland Shambhala Meditation Group (HHSMG) is holding a half-day meditation retreat. Come and meditate with others in an inspirational setting. We alternate between sitting meditation and walking meditation/yoga with a tea break mid-morning. Bring a lunch and join us for conversation afterwards. At noon, we will have some dharma books to share for a $5 donation.

The Bloomington Winter Farmers’ Market is the oldest winter market in Indiana as it enters its 21st year serving the community of Bloomington.

The BWFM has a diversity of vendors and products including fresh produce, local meat and poultry, dairy products, eggs, maple syrup, honey products, breads, baked goods, jams and sauces, prepared foods, locally roasted coffee, cut flowers, seeds and plants, artisanal crafts and many other items. You can find everything you need for nourishing winter meals along with local crafts, seasonal gifts and shareable treats!

Look for Santa to arrive at 9:30 AM, then follow him to the Ellettsville Branch and get a free photo and a toy. All ages.

There will be vendors of all sorts, music, and lots of shopping!

Drop in and bring any clothes or other textiles in need of repair; please clean items first. Discardia will be on-hand to show you how to mend them or do it for you. All ages.

Sip & Sing is a 21+ event where adults get to learn to sing in a low-pressure environment and enjoy a complimentary glass of wine.

The local legends return to where it all started as IU’s own a cappella sensation Straight No Chaser will take to the IU Auditorium stage as part of their nationwide Top Shelf Tour.

Take a break from eating at your keyboard and join other remote workers at The Mill for free lunch, casual networking, and community. We meet the third Wednesday of every month, noon-1 pm, in the Classroom at The Mill.

Walk in medical clinic for patrons experiencing homelessness.

Test your mettle against monsters and mayhem in a new RPG. All skill levels are welcome at these drop-in sessions. Players discover new challenges and a different gameplay style than D&D. Ages 12-19.

You’ll have 15 minutes to do your thing.
