“Coco Maduro” CD release and North Star Capoeira Angola Celebration will be happening on Friday the 4th and Saturday the 5th of October.

On Friday the 4th, we are planning to start at 5pm with a reception open to the public to show a video with the process of CD recording, followed by a Capoeira Angola performance Roda with participation of two Brazilian Capoeira Masters – Mestre Deraldo from Boston and Mestre Grande from NY. We are planning on finishing around 8pm on the 4th.

Please come to watch, to participate, and increase your Capoeira Angola skills with these amazing Mestre’s. Coco Maduro our second CD will be available for those interested. Since his first appearance on David Letterman at the age of 20, Bobcat has expanded his resume, directing movies and sharing his behind the camera talents on shows such as; “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” “The Demetri Martin show,” “The Chappelle Show,” “The Man Show,” and “Crank Yankers.” Best known for his unforgettable movies that were huge in the 80’s, Bobcat has also starred in several HBO specials and a slew of television appearances to numerous to mention. Bob continues to push the envelope with his unique brand of humor headlining major comedy clubs across the country.

Paint Bloomington and enter your art in a competition, with categories for Professional Artists, Emerging Artists, Youth (7-11) and Teens (12-17). There will also be art classes, demonstrations, music, and storytelling.
Music and Storytelling will be at the Pavilion throughout the day. Bring a picnic!

The Spencer Pride Festival is Indiana’s largest rural LGBTQ+ pride event and one of the most well-known rural LGBTQ+ events in the nation. The festival welcomed 7,000 attendees in 2023 and welcomes the participation and support of many local organizations and businesses.

One of the MOST essential tools in a witch’s toolkit is their broomstick! No there are plenty of places where one could purchase an already-built broom, but what if you could create one yourself?
Join Miss Sonja as she walks you through creating your very own witch’s broom, complete with all the bits and bobs to make it special to you! Attendees are required to bring their own broomstick, measuring at least 3-5 feet long. Other materials will be provided.
This class is available for 10 seats, so sign up before the bats leave the belfrey! Tickets are $65 each, and you get to take home your very own witch’s broom.
