Rising from the ever-burning embers of work and family, this gentle musical couple revives their lifelong passion for performing eclectic selections of music, inviting the audience to participate in a fun poetic contest sure to get everyone’s creative juices flowing! Join us for a screening of the Sundance and SXSW festival favorite Plan C. Follow Francine Coeytaux, a public health expert and the co-founder of the organization Plan C, as she and her team fight to expand knowledge of – and access to – the abortion pill across the United States. Plan C’s message is that no matter where you live, you can still access pills by mail. Learn about Plan C, the reality of post-roe, and activists leading the charge for the future of reproductive justice through the documentary and a panel with Bloomington activists and public health professionals following the film.
After the movie we will have a panel discussing the main points of the film.

In his follow-up to the Oscar-winning The English Patient, writer/director Anthony Minghella tried his hand at another tricky literary adaptation with The Talented Mr. Ripley, featuring ’90s heartthrob Matt Damon cast against type as a bisexual murderer. A bright and charismatic sociopath making his way in mid-1950s NYC through menial work and petty scams, Tom Ripley is hired through a case of mistaken identity by a shipping magnate to bring back his loafing son, Dickie (Jude Law), from a too-long extended Italian vacation with his girlfriend, Marge (Gwyneth Paltrow). Tom soon finds that he’d rather be Dickie than bring him home and makes an impulsive decision with no return. The three enigmatic leads are buoyed by indelible supporting performances from Cate Blanchett and Philip Seymour Hoffman. [
Released in June 1995 ~ Randy Dean (Laurel Holloman), a boyish lesbian who works at a gas station, has trouble performing in high school and is treated badly by bigoted locals because of her sexual identity. The mission of the National Coalition for Drug Legalization (501(c)3) is to advance the conversation about legalization of all drugs through research and community service. The current drug war has had devastating effects on communities of color, the working poor, and those who suffer from medical illness in search of alternative medicine. Through meaningful and impactful research, the National Coalition for Drug Legalization can push for policies and laws that will save lives from drug overdoses and reduce incarcerations.
