We have been applying ourselves to the mission of recording and distributing local music from our home base at Rainwater Studios. After connecting to the world with fiber optic internet, we began sharing live performances. Now we work with dozens of performers from Central Indiana while honing our craft and striving to bring you the best our region has to offer.

Have a guitar or mandolin at home that needs dusted off? Love to sing along while you play? Join Nathan Dillon, of Everybody Rocks!, as he walks you through the basics of playing your instrument while you learn to play old familiar songs as well as new ones. Eliza Hittman is an award-winning filmmaker, born and based in Brooklyn, N.Y. Her latest film Never Rarely Sometimes Always premiered in the U.S. Dramatic Competition section at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival, where it received a special jury award. The film had its international premiere in competition in the Berlin Film Festival and released by Focus Features this spring. Beach Rats, her second feature film, premiered in the U.S. Dramatic Competition at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival, where she won the Directing Award. It premiered internationally at Locarno in the Golden Leopard Competition and was the Centerpiece Film at New Directors/New Films. Beach Rats was released domestically by NEON Rated and was a New York Times Critic’s Pick. Her micro-budget debut feature film It Felt Like Love premiered at Sundance in 2013 in the NEXT programming section and was a New York Times Critic’s Pick. Hittman earned an MFA from California Institute of the Arts, has taught at Columbia University, and is currently an assistant professor of film/video at Pratt Institute in New York. She is the recipient of the Emerging Artist Award from Lincoln Center and a 2018 Guggenheim Fellow.

This past Friday, Kris came up with a way to play a virtual version of The Price is Right with some extra challenges. We had lots of fun guessing how much food and household items cost. The extra challenges included guessing how much the price of certain paper products and disinfectants. Our intern Jody won on Friday so there were no prizes distributed, but that may change when/if a members wins!

Join us for Dive Deeper live at the Wonder Under the Waves Aquarium. This week we will learn about the dangers of oil spills in the ocean and do an experiment to see how difficult it is to remove oil once it’s in the water. Melanie was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy as a child and both, she and JB, still marvel at the difference Jesus Christ can make. They have had the privilege of traveling to many churches, festivals, and fairs throughout Indiana and neighboring states. Their love story took on a new dimension when after 17 years of marriage their daughter, Rose was born. She has been singing all her life and recently recorded her own gospel album, As Told By Rose O’Neal. They reside in Martinsville, Indiana.

This past Friday, Kris came up with a way to play a virtual version of The Price is Right with some extra challenges. We had lots of fun guessing how much food and household items cost. The extra challenges included guessing how much the price of certain paper products and disinfectants. Our intern Jody won on Friday so there were no prizes distributed, but that may change when/if a members wins!

The Owen County Farmers Market is back! In accordance with the Indiana Governor’s Five-Step Reopening Plan, the market will have its seasonal grand opening on Saturday, May 23 (Memorial Day Weekend), 8:30am-12:30pm. If things continue to go will, the outdoor market will open every Saturday until October 10, 2020. The market will set up in its usual location: Babbs Supermarket’s west-side parking lot, 459 W. Morgan Street (SR46), Spencer Indiana.
We are taking steps to keep people and foods safe. Owen County Farmers Market is an outdoor, fresh air market with wide aisles for social distancing and plenty of space to move around freely. We will have handwashing stations set up around the site. Sterile gloves and new disposable shopping bags will be available. The Board of Health Director, Sheila Reeves, will be at the market to answer any questions you may have and to ensure safety guidelines. We care about your health and the health of your family, and will do whatever it takes to keep you safe and reassured.

The County will be re-writing and updating the County zoning ordinance. When finished it will guide development outside the city limits of Bloomington and Ellettesville for the next 15-20 years. What goes into it will inform everyone as to whether or not we protect and preserve more of our rural, natural, and historic landscapes and resources for future generations.
Public input is crucial to guiding the end result document. This kick off will introduce the newest consultants hired to compile the document and allow them to hear initial comments from residents. There will be additional opportunities for public comments throughout the process over the coming months.

This past Friday, Kris came up with a way to play a virtual version of The Price is Right with some extra challenges. We had lots of fun guessing how much food and household items cost. The extra challenges included guessing how much the price of certain paper products and disinfectants. Our intern Jody won on Friday so there were no prizes distributed, but that may change when/if a members wins!
We are keeping these social hours going and would love to see some more of you join Endwright staff and others for games, trivia, and creative challenges.

Introducing 2020 for 2020. Let’s be honest—we are all concerned at this moment in time about what the future holds. Understandably, we are thinking about the future of the Brown County Playhouse, trying to ensure long-term sustainability and a bright future.
The Playhouse is a historical jewel that needs to continue the tradition of bringing great entertainment to our visitors and local folks as well for many years to come. So, after much thoughtful consideration, we came up with this idea for two win/win offers that can help us both. Here are two ways to support through this program.
We need your partnership. We need your support.This is our time to shine, working together to sustain and provide for the future of the Brown County Playhouse. There are many memories built through the decades of high-quality, historical performances, and many memories yet to be made. We all have a vested interest in this. Thank you for your support, both in the past and in the future.
“We would like to encourage shoppers who are concerned about crowd size to attend during the first hour as we want to give them the best experience for their situation.” The first hour will continue to be reserved for the elderly and immunocompromised for the next several weeks as the need is evident.”
The market will once again be located on the west side of the courthouse square in downtown Bedford. Customers will be able to park along J Street.
Many vendors accept WIC vouchers for fresh produce. The Bedford Farmers Market has also teamed with IU Health- Bedford to provide bonus vouchers to WIC recipients. The vouchers can be used when purchasing fresh produce.
The basic structure will remain the same, but customers can expect to see changes to each vendor’s displays. The use of pre-packaged options and order pick-up will likely be used more frequently.
The market has adopted the following Market Manners for attendees:
• Do not enter the market if you are sick.
• Make a shopping list.
• Send only one person from the family into the market.
• Wait in your vehicle if lines form.
• No pets will be allowed.
• Keep six feet between people.
• Do not touch surfaces.
• Touch only what you intend to buy.
• Use handwashing station if needed.
• We love you, but please do not linger.
The Owen County Farmers Market is back! In accordance with the Indiana Governor’s Five-Step Reopening Plan, the market will have its seasonal grand opening on Saturday, May 23 (Memorial Day Weekend), 8:30am-12:30pm. If things continue to go will, the outdoor market will open every Saturday until October 10, 2020. The market will set up in its usual location: Babbs Supermarket’s west-side parking lot, 459 W. Morgan Street (SR46), Spencer Indiana.
We are taking steps to keep people and foods safe. Owen County Farmers Market is an outdoor, fresh air market with wide aisles for social distancing and plenty of space to move around freely. We will have handwashing stations set up around the site. Sterile gloves and new disposable shopping bags will be available. The Board of Health Director, Sheila Reeves, will be at the market to answer any questions you may have and to ensure safety guidelines. We care about your health and the health of your family, and will do whatever it takes to keep you safe and reassured.

The program is for all those who care for people living with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, including family caregivers, home health aides and those who work in long-term care facilities. It will cover a range of topics, including:
- The impact of COVID-19 on people living with dementia
- Tips caregivers can use to help the person with dementia follow hygiene recommendations
- Information for caregivers whose loved ones are in long-term care facilities
- Ways to reduce the risk of COVID-19 when working with in-home care providers
- Activities to engage the person with dementia
- Symptoms of caregiver stress and strategies for coping
