Jeff White, Professor of Environmental Science at SPEA, will present at talk entitled “An Update on the Climate Change Dilemma from the Perspective of an Environmental Scientist”. Climate change has been and will likely continue to be a defining issue of our time. The topic has become so politicized that it is difficult to decipher the status of the science from the amplified political noise that currently engulfs it. White will provide a brief update of the science. He will also touch on several aspects of the changing political landscape that affects the advancement of the science, which is essential to development of smart policy.
Immediately following White’s presentation members of Citizens’ Climate Lobby will hold a letter writing party for Green Drinks participants who would like to help build the political will for a stable climate.

Baritone Richard Lewis and friends plunge you into a backstage world of overwrought emotion and egos with music by Cy Coleman, Mozart, Offenbach, and Verdi.
Steal behind the scenes in our seventh annual free summer concert! Soprano Anna Singer, mezzo-soprano Hilerie Klein Rensi, tenor Robert Chafin, baritone Richard Lewis, and pianist Michael Borowitz perform scenes by Cy Coleman, Mozart, Offenbach, and Verdi about the backstage world of overwrought emotion and giant egos. Take a ringside seat for battles of wills and wits between producer and star, a poet and his lost loves, and more in scenes from Pagliacci, La Forza del Destino, The Tales of Hoffmann, and others.
Free-will donations accepted at the concert will directly benefit Fairview Elementary School’s literacy and Artful Learning programs. This program supported in part by Solution Tree and the City of Bloomington Arts Commission’s Arts Project Grant Program. On Facebook: “All the World’s a Stage”.
