The Olate Dogs @ Buskirk Chumley Theater, 114 E Kirkwood Ave Bloomington @ Buskirk Chumley Theater
Jan 4 @ 7:30 pm

To combat the post-holiday blues and start the new year out with some high-energy fun, the Buskirk-Chumley Theater will present the Olate Dogs on Wednesday, January 4, 2017. The Olate Dogs won Season Seven of America’s Got Talent, scooping up the $1,000,000 prize and headlining at The Palazzo in Las Vegas. Led by Richard Olate and his son Nicholas Olate, the Olate Dogs are a fast-paced canine theatrical act filled with amazing dog tricks, human acrobatics, and humor.

Richard, who grew up very poor in South America, got his start at the age of 10 when he rescued and trained his first stray dog and found he had a gift. Within two years, Richard and his dog troupe were able to support his entire family. He began performing in the United States at age 33. Winning America’s Got Talent in 2012 opened many doors and Richard and Nicholas, who started working with his father at the age of 6, are now America’s most recognized dog entertainers.

Most of the Olate Dogs were strays and rescues that now travel in an air-conditioned, tricked-out trailer. They work with their trainers to promote the importance of shelter adoptions.
