On today’s edition of Bring It On!, hosts, Liz Mitchell and Clarence Boone, spend the hour with the women of Resilience Productions. Resilience Productions was created by Gladys DeVane, Danielle Bruce, and our co-host, Elizabeth Mitchell. They are three close friends and remarkably artistic women who believe in the power of storytelling and that we are all immortal as long as our stories are told.

Since its inception in 2016, Resilience Productions has brought compelling and thought-provoking stories of the African American experience to the stage. Inspired by actual historical events, these performances come to life through original plays or staged readings. To commemorate Juneteenth, they are featuring: The Legacy of Opal Lee. At this production, you will meet Opal Lee, the grandmother of Juneteenth as she invites you to reflect on the true meaning of Juneteenth and the importance of living a purposeful life.
