Bloomington Mayor John Hamilton will seek re-election in 2019, according to a press release issued by his campaign on Sunday.

Hamilton is expected to formally announce he will seek a second term as Bloomington’s mayor during a campaign launch party on Tuesday, at Monroe County Democratic Headquarters.

Hamilton’s announcement comes after Monroe County Board of Commissioners President Amanda Barge announced her intention to run, last month.
