Shopping websites and phone apps — and a whole lot of others — are actually collecting a lot of data about you, and sharing it (or selling it!) to others. Much of it is information they don’t need for you to use their app or website. You probably gave them permission to do this, without realizing it! You need to know about this…and you may very well want to take action to stay safer and more private.
