On Sunday, October 25, 2020, WFHB Music Director Jim Manion recorded a Local Live segment with Bloomington singer-songwriter Austin Lucas. Lucas is currently living in Mainz, Germany with his partner, whom he met while performing on tour there two years ago. Austin performs several acoustic versions of songs from his brand new album, Alive in the Hot Zone. During the interview segments, he discusses his unexpected quarantine in Germany and how it has contributed to his songwriting creativity. He reveals his new positive outlook on life, his devotion to speaking the truth against society’s injustices and talks candidly about his relationships with family members.
