Developers of a proposed affordable housing complex are asking the City of Bloomington for a ten-year tax break. Brian Payne, the city’s Assistant Director of Small Business Development, presented the proposal to the City Council last night. Payne says the tax break is needed for developer Milestone Venture’s to vie for federal, low-income housing tax credits, which are highly competitive.
