J460 – Dan Kolodziej: Monroe County Poverty

Play

It’s no secret that poverty is one of the most pressing problems in Monroe County. Dan Kolodziej reports on how poverty and homelessness have evolved in the Bloomington community.

WFHB is proud to partner with the Indiana University School of Journalism for Community Journalism J460, a class taught in part here at WFHB where students learn to produce radio features on issues relevant to the local community. During the fall semester of 2010, students in J460 pursued stories in underreported areas like healthcare, education, criminal justice, and homelessness.
