During the winter months, the harsh elements make plain Bloomington’s lack of homeless shelter space. Andrew Olanoff explains the many causes of homelessness in Bloomington and how Bloomington’s network of shelters support the city’s homeless population.
WFHB is proud to partner with the Indiana University School of Journalism for Community Journalism J460, a class taught in part here at WFHB where students learn to produce radio features on issues relevant to the local community. During the fall semester of 2010, students in J460 pursued stories in underreported areas like healthcare, education, criminal justice, and homelessness.
