A group of Monroe County Citizens has formed to voice their disapproval of a proposed one-percent tax implemented by the county to raise funds for an expanded downtown convention center. Today, group member William Ellis stopped in to the WFHB Studios and spoke with WFHB News Director Alycin Bektesh to explain why they believe the new tax will harm – rather than boost – the local economy.
