nterchange – An Hour with Cindy Sheehan

Play

Cindy Sheehan, internationally-known anti-war activist, talks with January Jones about the past six years of her life — since the death of her son, Casey Sheehan, propelled her into the national spotlight to voice opposition to American’s participation in both Iraq and Afghanistan.  Cindy talks about the personal sacrifices — including death threats to her and her family — necessary to become an activist and how her life has changed since her decision to “speak out for justice”.  She also discusses general dis-connect between Washington and most American citizens, the need for a multiple-party political system, the frustrations of workers in America, and the gross imbalance between the “haves” and the “have-nots”.
