In today’s edition of Bring It On!, hosts Clarence Boone and Liz Micthell spend the hour with Dr. Gloria Howell. She is a frequent Bring It On! contributor and community leader. In 2020 she became the director of the Neal-Marshall Black Culture Center at IU Bloomington. She is also the faculty coordinator for a first-year experience and introductory research course for freshman Hudson and Holland Scholars. She is the coordinator of a December Black Congratulatory Commencement ceremony, which she describes as, “authentically, unapologetically black!” Dr. Howell joins us to highlight the memorable programming moments from 2024 with a look forward to 2025 from this celebration. More information can be found at the Neal-Marshall Black Culture Center.
Gloria has served as vice chair of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday Commission.
