Online magazine Limestone Post has been publishing long-form articles on local issues as well as arts, entertainment, and cultural topics since 2015. With the slow demise of local daily newspapers, Limestone Media, the magazine’s parent company, hopes to fill the void with an emerging network of independent news sources in and around Bloomington. The nonprofit (since 2019) will serve as an umbrella organizer for a planned daily news site and will spend 2024 arranging for financing and assembling a team of contributors and participants in an ambitious project to bring news gathering into the 21st century. Limestone Media co-founder Ron Eid and Board of Directors President Rebecca Hill tell Big Talk the nonprofit will continue to publish Limestone Post in its current form even after the new site launches.
