The U.S. Department of Labor is offering grants to both recruit female applicants into apprenticeship programs. The goal is to help women get into careers in industries such as manufacturing, construction and cyber-security, where they are under represented.

A study by Purdue University is being used by the federal Commerce Department, as the basis for President Trump’s proposed steel tariff plans.
