The Bloomington Commission on the Status of Women released a call for nominees for their 2017 Woman of the Year, Emerging Leader, and Lifetime Contribution Awards. The Woman of the Year Award is for a woman who has improved the quality of life for other women and serves as a role model for them by her outstanding contributions to the community. The Lifetime Contribution Award honors someone whose work advanced the status of women through leadership and service; and the Emerging Leader Award acknowledges a woman with less-than-five-years of significant achievements that indicate the potential for future contributions.
