This week, in collaboration with the National Homelessness Marathon Radio event, that will air this Wednesday evening through Thursday morning, we present a week-long series of features highlighting issues of housing and homelessness in our community. Today, we’ll hear from Bobbie Summers, the Executive Director of Martha’s House, one of the few homeless shelters in our community. Summers says the current economic environment has her agency on edge as their regular funders have delayed their granting cycles. She says the community can help immediately by purchasing the Neighborhood Assistance Program tax credits they currently have available. In today’s feature, we go on location to Martha’s House in this WFHB exclusive.
