On Thursday, April 12th, demonstrations have been organized nation wide to protest Senate Bill 1789, also known as the 21st Century Postal Service Act of 2012. The day of solidarity includes a demonstration outside of every US Senate office, including the offices of Indiana Senators Richard Lugar and Dan Coats, at 10 West Market Street in downtown Indianapolis, for the “Save America’s Postal Service” rally. WFHB News Director Alycin Bektesh spoke with John Triplett, the president of the national association of letter carriers branch 39, for Indiana, about the ramifications of SB 1789, and the upcoming rally, for today’s WFHB feature exclusive.
