In the past few years, everyone from farmers to artisans, restaurants to boutique book publishing houses, have embraced the growing Local Movement. A group here in Indiana has been doing the same for local underground music since 2004. Musical Family Tree is an online mp3 archive and community that houses the works of hundreds of Indiana bands going back as far as the early 80’s. WFHB correspondent Jennifer Whitaker spoke to Musical Family Tree’s founder and manager as well as some Bloomington musicians who are featured on the site for this WFHB feature exclusive.
