Play

Last week, the United Way of Monroe County launched a new initiative that will help local residents open bank accounts, even if they have had difficulty doing so in the past or are unable to have money in the account at all times. The program is called Bank on Bloomington and will serve the nearly 20% of all Hoosiers who do not have bank accounts. In today’s feature, we hear from Local United Way Executive Director Barry Lessow and Bloomington Mayor Mark Kruzan who discuss the importance of this service and what it will offer county residents.
