The Bloomington community is known for its strong support of artists and art lovers. Caitlin O’Hara reports that despite budget cuts in the classroom, several members of the Bloomington community are fighting to keep this artistic tradition alive in Bloomington schools.
WFHB is proud to partner with the Indiana University School of Journalism for Community Journalism J460, a class taught in part here at WFHB where students learn to produce radio features on issues relevant to the local community. During the fall semester of 2010, students in J460 pursued stories in underreported areas like healthcare, education, criminal justice, and homelessness.
