I-69 Construction to Last Throughout Summer

The Indiana Department of Transportation is beginning a race to the finish to complete Interstate 69 on time.

INDOT and I-69 section 5 spokesman Andy Dietrick, says construction along the Highway 37 corridor to Martinsville is at an all-time high.

Construction crews are working on the Second and Third street bridges on Bloomington’s West Side, both northbound and southbound lanes on 37 are limited to one lane, and the northern Business 37 from Walnut St. is closed to finalize that interchange with the interstate.

Dietrick says heavy construction along I-69 is expected to last until the project’s August deadline.
